Bellman Job Summary:
To represent Wequassett Resort & Golf Club in a friendly, professional and courteous manner while welcoming and interacting with guests of the resort.
Bellman Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests to the resort in a friendly and professional manner.
- Assist guests with their luggage at check in and at check out following Wequassett Standards.
- Open car doors as well as the doors to the registration building for guests.
- Be familiar with and able to communicate effectively information regarding the resort including room locations, amenities, services provided and hours of operation.
- Be familiar with and able to communicate effectively the information regarding the Cape Cod area, local attractions, activities, local dining options and other points of interest.
- Handle all guest's mail, messages and faxes quickly, discreetly and efficiently in accordance with the resort's policies and procedures.
- Assist guests with photocopies and faxes as required.
- Be comfortable with technology. Will assist with trouble shooting guest wireless issues and will hook up DVD Players in guest rooms.
- Deliver amenities and supplies requested by the guest to their rooms.
- Provide professional and efficient van shuttle service for guests as required.
- Perform all daily tasks as indicated on the bellman's daily task sheet.
- Deliver newspapers as required.
- Answer all incoming switchboard calls, as well as front office extension calls efficiently, professionally and in a consistent manner.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front lobby, front entrances areas and the
- guest office.
- Maintain the inventory, cleanliness and organization of the bellman supply closet.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the resort's vans and bell cart and follow all policies and procedures pertaining to their operation.
- Be familiar with Department Heads and Managers; their names, job titles, phone extensions, office locations and areas of responsibilities.
- Be familiar with emergency procedures and be prepared to handle an emergency if one arises.
- Be familiar with daily functions and activities being held at the resort and be prepared to direct guests to these areas.
- Understand the Customer Intimacy Program and always be looking for opportunities to perform Heroic Acts for our guests.
- Assist guests in locating parking spaces as needed.
- Transport guests by golf cart when needed
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
- Other related duties as assigned.
