Manager in Training, Rooms

Cape Cod's only double Forbes Five-Star resort is seeking a manager in training for its rooms division. This position will encompass cross training in guest reception, concierge, bell service and housekeeping. The person will be expected to assist in all areas of the rooms department as needed. This is an excellent opportunity to gain knowledge and contribute to one of the largest departments within the resort. It requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact with team members and guests in a warm and gracious manner. The role requires the person to adapt to different environments and to assist as needed.

The responsibilities of the manager in training, rooms include:

  • Rotating between different outlets of the rooms division including: housekeeping, guest reception, concierge and bell service
  • Assisting the department managers to consistently provide memorable guest service and maintain all proper standards and procedures
  • Interacting with guests and team members alike
  • Making decisions using excellent written and verbal communication
  • Utilizing the resort's property management system
  • Performing additional duties as required by the resort's business levels

A college degree and previous experience with a luxury hotel is preferred.
